Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math Academy

  Within the Science, Technology, Engineering, Art,  and Mathematics (STEM) Academy, students will experience a rigorous and integrated curriculum that is aligned and focused toward preparing students for college and/or a career. GCPS courses and electives will be taught using student-centered projects and activities. STEM will partner with businesses to provide opportunities for internships and externships. Students will pursue one of three pathways within the academy:

Cybersecurity, Computer Programming, or Engineering and Technology.

Engineering

Come design and construct amazing products in this state-of-the art engineering space.  Our space is fully equipped with commercial grade equipment. This environment is expertly designed to provide students with real-world exposure in preparation for College and Careers.

Computer Science

Join us in learning programming languages including Python and C-Sharp.  Students will gain exposure to a well rounded foundation in computer science from teachers with industry experience. Students will experience learning the fundamentals of App Design, Game Design and more!

Cybersecurity

The Cybersecurity Program is taught in a rigorous classroom environment. This program will immerse you in the knowledge and skills required to install and configure systems; to secure applications, networks, and devices; perform threat analysis and respond with appropriate mitigation techniques; participate in risk mitigation activities; and to operate with an awareness of applicable policies, laws, and regulations. Qualified students at the end of the term will sit for the Security+ exam. Average pay of an individual with no experience, diploma, and Security+ certification is $49,200.
